How the Auto Thread Cutter Works
A solenoid pushes a blade arm forward. The blade catches the thread between the needle and the fabric. A stationary blade on the other side creates a scissors action.

When the Trimmer Stops Cutting

Blade Timing

Replacing the Blade
- Remove the needle and presser foot.
- Remove the needle plate.
- Locate the blade assembly under the plate near the hook.
- Remove two Phillips screws holding the blade bracket.
- Slide out the old blade. Note the orientation — the sharp edge faces the hook.
- Insert the new blade and tighten screws to 4 in-lb of torque.
- Turn the handwheel by hand through one full cycle. If the blade contacts the hook, loosen and reposition.
